Please join us for this in-person course led by Richard Seiersen, Chief Risk Officer at Resilience, and Rob Brown, Cybersecurity Risk Management Leader at Resilience, and Rob Mealey, Director of Data Science at Resilience.
This course will give security practitioners modern methods for prioritizing security operations (SecOps) activities. Participants will learn how to
- Create graphical approaches for connecting threats to loss scenarios.
- Augment visibility and decision-making with simple quantitative controls prioritization.
- Provide management with grounded plans and responses that incorporate security telemetry with expert rationale.
This course is offered free of charge. Please note that this programming will not be recorded, and in-person attendance is required to participate.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS

Richard Seiersen
Chief Risk Officer at Resilience
Richard Seiersen is a 20+ year security veteran with 10 years as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). He has served as CISO at GE, Twilio, and LendingClub and authored two of the preeminent books on cyber risk quantification, including How to Measure Anything in Cybersecurity Risk (2016) and The Metrics Manifesto: Confronting Security with Data (2022).

Rob Brown
Cybersecurity Risk Management Leader at Resilience
Rob Brown brings 25+ years of experience serving organizations from startups to government agencies and Fortune 100 companies as a senior strategic planner and decision science advisor. He is the author of Business Case Analysis with R - Simulation Tutorials to Support Complex Business Decisions (2018).

Rob Mealey
Director of Data Science at Resilience
Rob Mealey is the Director of Data Science at Resilience. He holds over a decade of experience as a data scientist for organizations such as Sprinklr and RedOwl. Mealey currently works in natural language processing/computational linguistics and coding mostly in Java, Scala, and Python. He obtained his Master's in Econometrics from Johns Hopkins University and his Bachelor’s in Political Science at Saint Michael’s College.
